Hull City have signed attacking midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa from Newcastle United on loan until the end of the season.

Ben Arfa, 27, has spent three seasons on Tyneside after moving from Marseille in January 2011 following a successful loan spell at St James’ Park.

The French international has made more than 100 appearances for the Magpies and increases Steve Bruce’s attacking options on the back of the deadline day arrivals of Abel Hernandez and Gaston Ramirez.

“Hatem is a superb addition to the squad, and brings a lot of attacking flare,” said manager Steve Bruce.

“We look forward to welcoming him to the Club.”
