Scottish international knows players will feel benefit of pre-season training camp....

Robert Snodgrass says he’s enjoying a fine start to his Hull City career.

Snodgrass is currently with his new team-mates in Portugal for a pre-season training camp and as well as bonding with his new colleagues, he is also enjoying the chance to get ready for the new campaign.

“It’s been a great start,” said Snodgrass.

“We’ve all arrived out here in great shape and ready for the tough work that we’re doing. The heat makes it tough as well and the heart-rates have been high, but we’re all working hard and this is the type of set-up that the manager wants.

“Everybody wants to get off to a good start. We know that we’re getting the fitness levels under our belts and the coaching staff are making the work as enjoyable as it’s possible for it to be. There’s a bit of banter flying around out there and that is the best way to go about it.

“The morning and evening sessions have been tough and have taken us out of our comfort zone.

“But it can only be good for us to get that level of fitness and then kick on.”
