Few outside the KC Stadium saw the Tigers’ victory against Liverpool coming at the weekend and Bruce’s side have once again been written off by the majority ahead of Wednesday night’s trip to league leaders Arsenal.
However, Bruce says the unpredictable nature of the top flight is one of the attractions for a worldwide audience as shocks and surprises seemingly come week in, week out.
“In the Premier League you have to reach a level that is almost impossible to reach every week,” said Bruce.
“We’ve got to be at full tilt to win a game in this league, but there are 12 or 13 teams like that.
“I was having a conversation with Steve Agnew earlier and we were saying that the beauty of the Premier League is that nobody can predict it. You see the big teams in Spain and Germany blow away the rest of the league, but that isn’t the case so far here.
“That showcases what the Premier League is and why it is watched all over the world. It’s a wonderful spectacle.”
