Hull City have strengthened their defensive ranks even further this week as James Chester has signed a new three-year deal with the Club, keeping him at the KC Stadium until 2016.
The announcement ends months of speculation surrounding the future of the 24-year-old centre-half, and after signing from Premier League champions Manchester United back in January 2011, Chester said he's looking forward to the season ahead with the Tigers back in the top flight.
“It’s nice to get the paperwork out of the way,” said the defender.
“I’m happy here and I’ve got a great relationship with the rest of the lads. I also enjoy living in this area.
“This is the perfect situation.”
Chester made 48 appearances during the Tigers’ promotion-winning 2012/13 season, scoring once in the away win against Birmingham.
