While the eyes are undoubtedly drawn towards the opening few games, the festive period and the run-in to the end of the season when the new fixture lists come out, there is plenty to look forward to in between as well.
With the best and most famous grounds in English football back on the agenda, Tigers fans can look forward to a return to White Hart Lane in late October. Spurs will once again be chasing a place in the top four in 2013/14, but the Tigers have tasted success on their patch in recent years with four points gained from the last two visits. Can Steve Bruce’s men continue that trend?
A visit from Liverpool comes in late November, a game which will be followed by a midweek trip to the Emirates Stadium for a clash with Arsenal.
Chelsea visit the KC in mid-January before Spurs head north on the first weekend of February.
Manchester City will be in town mid-March before the Tigers head to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on the second weekend in April as the season heads towards its climax.
