Huddlestone: Finish The Job

Tom Huddlestone says Hull City will put thoughts about the FA Cup to one side when they return to league action against Arsenal at the KC Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams will be fighting for precious Premier League points and Huddlestone says the Tigers’ focus in the next couple of weeks must be on mathematically securing their top flight status.

“It’s going to be a tough game,” said Huddlestone.

“Both teams are still fighting to achieve their objectives in the league – for us it’s about staying in the league and for Arsenal it’s about finishing in the top four.

“It will be an intense game with pressure on both teams. Hopefully we’ve come up with a game plan to stifle their strengths and try and exploit their weaknesses.

“The 40-point mark is usually the marker (for staying up), although it has been lower than that in recent seasons.

“We know it’s tight down there, but I think Fulham are third-bottom and six points off us and we still have to play them.

“It’s all still to play for and no team is guaranteed safety, so we still have work to do.”
