It Could Be Yours!

09:41 30th December 2013

The Club is giving fans the opportunity to own a rather unique piece of football memorabilia and at the same time raise funds for a very worthy cause in an online auction.

A clump of Tom Huddlestone’s hair, cut from the midfielder’s locks during his goal celebration in the 6-0 win against Fulham at the weekend, is currently up for auction on the Tigers’ official eBay site with proceeds set to be donated to Tom’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK. Bids in excess of £500 have already been received with the auction set to continue in the coming days. Bids can be placed by visiting our official eBay page here.

The brief trim carried out on the touchline by the club’s Head of Medical Services, Rob Price, after the fourth goal of the game was the pre-curser to a full haircut for Huddlestone which will take place later this week.

The midfielder has been growing his hair since April 2011 after vowing not to cut it again until he scored a goal and his 67th minute strike against Fulham sparked a surge in donations to his cause. He has now raised more than £27,500 for Cancer Research UK and donations are still welcome at
