Three of the Tigers’ next four games are on home soil as the busy festive schedule arrives and having only lost once at the KC Stadium so far this season, Meyler knows it’s important to try and keep their good home form going.
“It’s nice to be playing at home because the KC has been like a fortress for us so far,” said Meyler.
“We defend really well at home and we play some good football. We’ve got Stoke first and we’ll be looking for three points from that, and then after West Brom away we’ve got Manchester United and you can maybe look to pick up something from that one.
“Then it’s Fulham at home, so this is going to be a crucial period and we’ll be looking to pick up points.”
For now the focus is on the Saturday evening clash with Stoke City and Meyler knows the Potters will present a typically tough challenge.
“Stoke had a fantastic result against Chelsea last weekend and they’ll be coming here full of confidence,” added Meyler.
“We’ll be looking to knock that back down and aiming for three points. It’ll be a tough game for us, but we’re going to make it hard for them to come here and play.”
