Curtis Davies was the main winner at the Club’s Annual Player of the Year Awards Evening on Wednesday night.

At the event, held at the KC Stadium, centre back Davies was named the Player of the Year, voted for by the supporters, and the captain was also voted as the Players’ Player of the Year.

After collecting his trophies, a delighted Davies said it had been a wonderful season.

“It’s been a wonderful season and the players have been terrific.

“We want to make sure we finish the league season by getting a result against Everton on Sunday and then we want to go to Wembley to try and win the FA Cup.”

Sone Aluko was also amongst the winners on the night, taking the Goal of the Season award for his wonderful volley against Newcastle United.

Will Aimson was named the Tigers’ Young Player of the Year following a consistent season with the Club’s Development Squad, while the Special Contribution Award went to the late Andy ‘Jock’ Davidson, a Club legend who made almost 600 appearances for the Tigers during the 1950s and 1960s. Following Andy’s sad passing last month, the award was received on his behalf by members of the Davidson family.
