Nick Proschwitz is looking forward to returning to his home country with the Tigers this weekend.

Steve Bruce has taken his squad to Germany as preparations for the new season continue.

As part of the trip, the Tigers will face Dynamo Dresden at the Glucksgas Stadium on Saturday and German striker Proschwitz is looking forward to the occasion, having previously experienced the Dresden atmosphere whilst playing for former club SC Paderborn.

“Whenever I talk about the second division (in Germany), that was the best atmosphere at Dresden,” said Proschwitz.

“The game was the hottest away match. They have a great crowd there and I wish that club all the best. I hope it works out for them in the next few years with a return to Bundesliga 1. The city, the club and the supporters deserve it.”

While those thoughts come from the past, Proschwitz is now looking forward to the Tigers’ return to the Barclays Premier League this month and gaining new experiences.

“It was a very hard decision (to leave Germany last summer) that I have never regretted,” added Proschwitz.

“After the first talks with Steve Bruce, I was immediately convinced that the club could rise. It worked, and I can now collect new and certainly interesting experiences in the best league in the world.”
