Marco Silva faces a wait to discover the extent of the shoulder injury sustained by Markus Henriksen during Tuesday night’s EFL Cup defeat at Manchester United.
Henriksen left the field just 16 minutes into the tie at Old Trafford after an awkward fall following a challenge with Paul Pogba, with the Club currently awaiting a full diagnosis.
“We will see, at the moment he is in the hospital,” said Silva when asked about the Norwegian midfielder’s condition.
“We will see what happens. It is his shoulder and it looks more serious than the injury Michael Dawson had at the weekend.
“I don’t believe he (Henriksen) will be available for the Bournemouth game.”
The news is more positive regarding Josh Tymon. The youngster was taken off late in the game after going down holding his leg, but Silva is confident it was just a kick that has caused no serious damage.
