The 35-year-old centre back has been in fine form since returning to the side a fortnight ago and his celebrations in front of the travelling Tigers fans at the end of Saturday’s victory against Ipswich will live long in the memory.
With experience of winning promotion from the Championship last season with West Ham, Faye appears to be the perfect man for Bruce to have in the side at the moment and the boss is delighted with his performances.
“Abdoulaye is a 35-year-old who has won promotions and played for ten years in the Premier League,” said Bruce.
“He still has that hunger and desire – I wish he was 25 because there aren’t many like him around.
“To play in the four games he has is remarkable and you should have seen him in the dressing room afterwards, there were all sorts of dances going on!
“It’s great to see him doing well.”
