Ahmed Elmohamady has been voted as the official Hull City Player of the Year for 2012/13.
The right wing-back, on loan from Sunderland, has been in outstanding form for much of the season with three goals and nine assists and has been a key figure in the Tigers’ push for automatic promotion.
Elmohamady was presented with the award, sponsored by Cash Converters and voted for by the fans, at the Official Player of the Year Awards evening at the KC Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Players’ Player of the Year Award, sponsored by Ocean Connect, was won by Stephen Quinn while Nick Proschwitz took the Goal of the Season award, sponsored by Jadan Press, for his stunning strike in our FA Cup Third Round replay against Leyton Orient.
Midfielder Dougie Wilson scooped the Young Player of the Year Award, sponsored by KC. It caps off a memorable season for the former Northern Ireland youth international, who made his senior debut for the club against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup.
The final award of the evening was a Special Contribution Award sponsored by Kingston Engineering. The deserving recipient was Andy Dawson, who is celebrating ten years with the Tigers with a Testimonial Year.
