A Foot In Both Camps: Craig Fagan

07 February 2019
From Hull to Derby and back to Hull again, Craig Fagan had an eventful few years but the fact remains that he represented both clubs in the Premier League.

Signed from Colchester United in February 2005, Fagan joined the Tigers’ successful promotion push from League One into the Championship and became a key player as the Club looked to establish itself in the second tier.

A burst of form in late 2006, which brought six goals in 12 games, saw other clubs take note and Derby landed his signature with Fagan playing a part in their promotion to the top-flight via the play-offs a few months later.

He played 22 games for the Rams in the Premier League, and 47 times in all competitions, but with chances becoming limited he took the option to return to Hull City on loan and again he was a promotion-winner, coming off the bench in the Play-Off Final victory over Bristol City in 2008.

The move became permanent during the summer and he stayed in East Yorkshire until the end of the 2010/11 season, making a further 56 appearances to take his overall tally as a Tiger to 148 in all competitions, scoring 20 goals.
