Adkins Gives Injury Update On Burke And Lichaj

02 December 2018

Nigel Adkins admits the Tigers could be without the services of Reece Burke and Eric Lichaj when they face Millwall next weekend after the duo were forced to come off with injuries in Saturday’s 3-2 win away at Queens Park Rangers.

Burke and Lichaj had both been doubts ahead of the Sky Bet Championship clash at Loftus Road having picked up knocks in the goalless draw with Norwich City in midweek, although Adkins revealed that injuries were fresh setbacks for his defensive pairing.

“We’ll have to see,” Adkins said when asked about the duo’s fitness after Saturday’s game. “We lost Eric with a calf injury and Reece with a hamstring injury.

“It was bad enough for them to come off and with soft tissue issues like that there are all types of different grades you can talk about.

“That’ll dictate the time but let’s assess them during the course of the week. With them coming off and knowing the characters that they are, they’ve obviously got to be a doubt for weekend.”
