Grosicki is yet to feature in the Championship this term, with his one and only appearance of the season so far – a 21-minute cameo off the bench – coming in last month’s Carabao Cup win at Sheffield United.
The 30-year-old had looked set for a move away from the KCOM Stadium during the transfer window, only to see a deadline day loan switch to Turkish side Bursaspor fall through.
As a result, Grosicki has now returned to the Tigers’ fold as he looks to kick-start his 2018/19 campaign and Adkins has been quick to express his delight at the Pole’s attitude in training.
“Everyone was off on Wednesday, but Kamil came in to do an extra session,” he said.
“He’s not played the number of games he’s needed to but he’s in full training with us now and he’ll keep improving.
“I had a one-on-one chat with him and his attitude is spot on – he’s totally focused. We know the situation but he’s contributing, which is important.
“I want him to improve physically. He’s working hard but he needs to play. He’s with us though and totally focused.
“He’s been totally integrated back into the team and it’s in our interest as a Club and his to see him doing well out on the pitch. He has a real desire to help the team, which is great to see.”
