Hull City

An Open Letter From Vice Chairman Ehab Allam

31 October 2019
Vice Chairman Ehab Allam has penned the following open letter to all Hull City supporters…

Dear Supporters,

As you may be aware, it was agreed at the October meeting of the Supporters’ Committee that a fan-led steering group would be formed to discuss the Club’s ticketing structure.

I would like to thank the members of the Supporters’ Committee for their enthusiasm and constructive input into the positive meetings that have already taken place and together we hope to have a new pricing structure agreed in the next two weeks.

As this won’t be ready in time for the West Brom game, and in the interest of keeping the momentum going, we would like to offer half-price match tickets for that game to all those supporters that purchased tickets for last Saturday’s home game against Derby County.

As this busy week of activity at Hull City comes towards its end, I hope that as many of you as possible have had the opportunity to attend one of the many events that have taken place here at the KCOM Stadium.

Our Half Term @ Hull City week, which has featured exclusive events for our Members as well as occasions to remember for our wider fan-base young and old, was designed to move the Club back closer to its supporters and it has been fantastic to see a lot of positive feedback over the last few days.

Of course, the flagship event of the week came last Saturday at our home game against Derby County when half-price tickets were available to all supporters. It resulted in our biggest home crowd since April 2018 being in attendance to see first-hand the good work that is being done by Grant McCann and the coaching staff with an exciting, talented and relatively young squad of players.

Added to our loyal Members, the extra numbers and increased volume undoubtedly played a part in the team producing an excellent performance and earning the thoroughly deserved win that we all wanted to see, making it back-to-back league victories in the process.

It would be tremendous to build on that, hence the decision to offer an incentive for those fans to return. It means that, once again, there is the opportunity to watch Sky Bet Championship football for as little as £13.50 for adults and just £4.50 for concessions. I appreciate that tickets for the West Brom fixture have already been on sale for some time so, if you have already bought yours, you can claim back the difference of the price you’ve paid – we will release information on how to do that via club channels.

It is important to stress at this point that offers such as this will not become commonplace and that being a Member continues to, and will always, be the most cost-effective way of watching Hull City in home action. However, as discussions continue with our steering group regarding ticket pricing, we are happy to offer a middle ground and hope to announce further details regarding our ticketing structure in the near future.

I would also like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our current Members for your support of the Club over recent months and years, and for your understanding at times such as this as we look to increase numbers inside the stadium on matchdays. We constantly look at ways to add value to your Membership, including the exclusive ‘An Evening With Ashbee & Meyler’ and the extra 500 points added to your accounts for early entry at the Derby County fixture, and I would ask you to keep an eye out for further exclusive offerings in the coming weeks and months.

Finally, during Supporters’ Committee discussions about encouraging everyone to return to get behind the team, it was suggested the Allam family do the same and after consideration we will be returning from the West Bromwich Albion game – when we hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Thank you for your continued support of Hull City.

UTT!

Ehab Allam
Vice Chairman
