Bowen Picks Up Hat-Trick Of Awards

08 May 2019
Jarrod Bowen picked up a hat-trick of awards at Hull City’s Player of the Year Awards Dinner at the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday night.

Bowen collected the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year trophies to cap off what has been a tremendous season for the 22-year-old.

He finished the 2018/19 campaign as the Tigers’ leading scorer with 22 goals, the joint-fourth highest total overall in the Sky Bet Championship, and he was also recently named in the EFL Championship and the combined EFL Team of the Season.

Speaking after picking up his awards, Bowen said: “To get this recognition from the supporters, my team-mates and the gaffer and his staff is a massive honour, especially when I look at some of the players I have around me who have also had unbelievable seasons.

“Each award has a different emotion attached to it, but I feel equally as privileged to have won each one.”

The Goal of the Season award went to Evandro for his volley away at Aston Villa that rounded off an excellent team move, while the Academy Player of the Year award went to Keane Lewis-Potter who has been in impressive form for the Academy all year and earned a first team debut in the FA Cup tie with Millwall back in January.

We’ll have further reaction to the Player of the Year Awards later today here on the Official Website.
