Head Doctor for the academy, Dr Vas Mani graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2005.
He initially worked as a hospital doctor in the Yorkshire region and then spent time working in Emergency Medicine in Australia.
Vas transferred to GP training in 2010, with placements at Leyburn Medical Practice and The Masham Surgery, during which he was appointed as Club Doctor for Castleford Tigers Rugby League Football.
On completion of his GP training, he accepted a position as a full-time locum Civilian Medical Practitioner at RAF Leeming until taking up a position at Mowbray House Surgery Northallerton as a salaried GP.
More recently, he has spent time as a A&E doctor, the Club Doctor for Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie, and for the last four years, he has also worked as a GP for the British Army at the Infantry Training Centre, Catterick Garrison.
Vas completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Bath in 2019 and has a wealth of experience in sports and musculoskeletal medicine.
