A Disabled Users Group for Tigers fans is now up and running and this is the page where you’ll find all the news and information relating to it.
The Club’s Disability Liaison Officer is Ann Holland, who is on hand 9am-5pm five days a week to deal with any queries you may have. She can be contacted on (01482) 358303 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and is also in attendance on home matchdays.
The KCOM Stadium has good facilities for disabled supporters and provides 131 spaces for wheelchair users and their helpers.
The Club has a strong commitment to all its supporters recognising that disabled fans are fans, part of the crowd, who enjoy football the same as everyone else: the same excitement, the same disappointment, the same highs and the same lows.
Football plays an important part in peoples’ lives. It might be that you have not been to a football match for a long time or even at all. If you would like to come to a football match at Hull City Tigers but are not sure how you would feel just tell us. We can arrange for you to visit the ground on a non-match day to help familiarise yourself before coming to a match. Please contact Ann Holland on (01482) 358303 or email email@example.com
Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs are welcome at the KCOM Stadium and it would be helpful if you would contact Ann Holland (01482 358303 / firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance of the game to enable arrangements to be made.
Headsets are available for visually impaired supporters, there are no hearing loops at the Stadium.
We have a Changing Places Facility available on a Matchday at the KCOM Stadium and we also have a safe warm place to watch the match for disabled supporters should the need arise.
Disabled Toilets are available, not Radar key operated.
Turnstiles open 90 minutes before the stated time of the match.
Disabled supporters wishing to attend games on a match-by-match or Membership basis will:
– Pay the full appropriate admission charge according to age and the stand for which the application is made.
– Be entitled to a free ‘Carer Ticket’ for any match for which they pay an admission charge. To be eligible for the free ‘Carer Ticket’ you must bring relevant proof that you are in receipt of a Carer Component in the Disability Living Allowance for each match attended.
Supporters Under 14 are not allowed to enter the KCOM Stadium without a qualifying adult (Over 18). As a result, and in-line with reasonable adjustments, the parent/guardian who attends with the disabled supporter (Under 14) is required to pay the prevailing rate for both seats. In the interest of fairness, we do not provide the adult with a free Membership or match ticket.
The above also applies to away supporters on a match-by-match basis. Appropriate proof of disability must be included if applying in advance to the KCOM Stadium ticket office or on the date of the game at the turnstile entry point. We advise away supporters to book their tickets in advance of the fixture date.
Registered Disabled Supporters
To meet the criteria to receive a personal assistant free of charge, disabled supporters should currently be in receipt of either the Higher/Medium rate Mobility or Higher Care components of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or P.I.P.
Disabled Supporters will also need to submit copies of the DLA or P.I.P.
Ambulant Disabled Supporters can sit anywhere in the ground providing they are able to access the area subject to safety requirements. Requirements should be stipulated at the time of purchasing a ticket to ensure appropriate seating.
Away supporters are accommodated with their own supporters.
Home Disabled Supporters: Parking is available on the Walton Street Car Park, adjacent to the KCOM Stadium, there is a designated parking area for Blue Badge Holders, parking is free of charge.
Visiting Disabled Supporters: Parking is available on the Walton Street Car Park, adjacent to the KCOM Stadium, there is a designated parking area for Blue Badge Holders, parking is free of charge. There are a limited number of spaces available with the away coaches, applications must be made by telephone or email to Ann Holland by at least 48 hours before the game.
Please note that those who act as enablers/assistants must purchase a ticket when attending a match alone as the enabler/assistant ticket will not be valid.
Disabled supporters must be accompanied by their carer at all fixtures.
We have a wheelchair located in the West Stand reception which can be used by persons who require assistance to and from their car parking drop-off to their seat prior to the start and end of each game.
The wheelchair can be ordered by contacting the Club’s Disability Liaison Officer Ann Holland on (01482) 358303. We do require at least 48 hours notice if you wish to use the wheelchair.
The Club is a full member of the Level Playing Field.
May we take this opportunity to wish you a good match day experience at the KCOM Stadium.
