The 28-year-old has scored eight goals – including a hat-trick against Rotherham United in the FA Cup – in all competitions in his first season at the KCOM Stadium following his summer switch from Gillingham.
And speaking ahead of the Tigers’ clash with Charlton Athlete on home soil this weekend, Eaves has highlighted his desire to be back amongst the goals when the action resumes in order to help the team get back to winning ways.
“I’m a striker and I understand that I’m judged on the number of goals I score,” he said. “That’s just the way it is.
“But, I relish that responsibility and I’ll be looking to score as many as I can in the last nine games to help the team pick up some much needed wins.
“On a personal level, yes I want more goals. But, there is a bigger picture at the end of the day. All that matters is getting the results that will see us move up the table.
“That has to be our first objective – and If I can chip in with few goals to help us achieve that then I’ll be more than happy.”
Please remember, all remaining 2019/20 fixtures will be taking place behind closed doors but you can still watch the action live on Tigers TV. For full details, click here.
