Elder Eyeing First Taste Of Tigers Action

13 September 2019
Callum Elder is keen to make up for lost time as he looks to get his Hull City career fully up and running.

The 24-year-old joined the Tigers from Leicester City on deadline day last month, but injury has delayed a first appearance in black and amber.

However, having worked hard over the last few weeks to get himself back into contention, the defender is aiming to make an impact as the Sky Bet Championship action resumes after the international break.

“I’ve settled in well here, although obviously it’s been frustrating with the injury that I had,” said Elder.

“It was worse than I first feared because I thought it was more of a short-term injury, but I’ve been out for a bit of time.

“Now I’m fit to play, I’m raring to get going and hopefully ready to go all guns blazing.

“This is a big time in my career. I need to get my head down and do as well as I can for myself, and for the Club as well.

“I’ve worked with Grant McCann before and I know what he expects, so I’m hoping that, now I’m fully fit, I can put my hand up and show that I can play for him week in, week out which is what I came here to do.”
