The pair have formed a productive partnership down the left-hand side over the last four games, which impressed yet again during the 3-0 triumph over Fulham last weekend as Grant McCann’s men made it three wins on the spin.
While Grosicki’s forward play and contribution in the final third of the pitch has been clear for all to see, Elder has quietly gone about his own business, producing a serious captivating displays at left-back following his return from injury.
“I’m really enjoying playing behind Kamil,” said Elder.
“He’s a sensational footballer and one of the most positive players I’ve ever played with in terms of his forward play.
“He always makes positives runs and always gives you an option when you’re on the ball, which is all you can ask for when you’re playing on the same flank.
“We have started to build a really solid partnership on the left-hand side and, hopefully, we can continue that and build on it going forward.”
After a frustrating start to life at the KCOM Stadium due to injury, Elder is currently enjoying his longest run in the Tigers’ side since his deadline day switch from Leicester City having played the full 90 minutes in each of the last four games – much to the delight of the 24-year-old Australian.
“I’m absolutely loving it here,” he added. “I can’t speak highly enough of the Club.
“Obviously, it was a frustrating start to my time here with the injuries, but my aim was to come here and make a positive impact on the team.
“I’m delighted to be back playing games, but I just want to build on that. I have high standards for myself and I’m determined to push on.
“I’m loving being part of this group of players and playing under the manager – and long may that continue.”
