Fans Have A Morning To Remember At Open Training Session

29 October 2019
Around a thousand Hull City fans braved the cold to enjoy an open training session at the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday morning.

One of the main events of this Half Term @ Hull City week offered an opportunity to see first-hand every aspect of a training session – including the warm-up, the goalkeeping drills and small-sided games – all taking place under the watchful eye of Head Coach Grant McCann and his coaching staff.

McCann then made it a morning to remember by inviting the younger fans in attendance onto the pitch to play against his first team squad – we’re not sure what the final score was but there was definitely no clean-sheet bonus for either side!

It wasn’t just on the field where the action was, either, with the West Stand concourse offering an exhibition put on by @HullCityKits, showcasing match-worn Hull City shirts spanning the last 55 years, as well as the chance for people to break out their best FIFA 20 moves.

Once the training session was over, players and fans headed onto the concourse for a huge meet-and-greet session, with hundreds of free team posters snapped up and filled with autographs.

We’d like to thank everyone that attended Tuesday morning’s open training session to make it such a huge success.

And, don’t forget, there’s another chance to meet members of the first team squad this coming Thursday with a signing session taking place in the Tiger Leisure store at the KCOM Stadium from 4pm until 6pm!
