Grosicki And Poland Qualify For Euro 2020

14 October 2019
Kamil Grosicki helped Poland to qualify for Euro 2020 on Sunday following a comfortable 2-0 home victory over North Macedonia.

The 31-year-old winger was included from the off for the clash in Warsaw and was on the pitch for 73 minutes before being replaced.

Both goals came following Grosicki’s withdrawal as Przemyslaw Frankowski converted a Robert Lewandowski cross from close range to give them the lead on 74 minutes, before Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik came off the bench to convert another Lewandowski pass to wrap up the three points six minutes later.

The Poles, who hit the woodwork twice before scoring, made sure of their place from Group G with two matches to spare as they became the fourth team to qualify after Italy, Russia and Belgium.
