Hector Looking Forward To Wolves Test

15 August 2017
Michael Hector insists the Tigers' are determined to build on their promising start to the season when they host Wolves at the KCOM Stadium this evening.

Leonid Slutsky’s side registered their first win of the new season with Saturday’s 4-1 thrashing of Burton Albion.

The victory saw the Tigers move onto four points after two Sky Bet Championship games, following the opening day draw with Aston Villa, but on-loan Hector says no-one at the Club is getting carried away.

“In the Championship you can put out a statement one week and then the next could be totally different,” he said.

“We’ve got to keep our feet on the ground and take it game by game. A lot of things can happen. It was a good result on Saturday, but you can’t get too worked up about it.

“It was a good win on Saturday. We’d have liked the clean sheet but you can’t be greedy. There were plenty of positives to take from the game, but we have to build on those now.

“Playing Wolves tonight will be a good test for us again and one that we’re all looking forward to. Our home form will be important this season – we know that. We’ve got to look to pick up as many points as possible at home.

“It’s just about staying focused on ourselves and what we have to do against what is a very good Wolves side this evening.”
