Henriksen Helps Norway Claim Deserved Point Against Spain

13 October 2019
Markus Henriksen helped Norway to claim a deserved point with a 1-1 draw against Spain in their Euro 2020 in Oslo on Saturday night.

Victory would have guaranteed Spain’s spot in next summer’s tournament but they dropped their first points of the qualification campaign after Joshua King’s stoppage-time penalty cancelled out Saul’s opener at the start of the second half.

Henriksen was included from the off by Lars Lagerb├Ąck and played 83 minutes before being replaced by Bjorn Johnsen.

On Friday, Elliot Bonds won his seventh international cap for Guyana, playing 88 minutes of their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Antigua and Barbuda at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Young goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright, meanwhile, was an unused substitute as England U18s began their mini-trip through Europe with an impressive win, beating Poland U19s by 5-2 in Opole.
