After claiming all three points against Middlesbrough last time out at the KCOM Stadium, Grant McCann’s men host Millwall and Luton Town in their final two fixtures in HU3 as they bid to improve on a record that has seen them pick up 24 points from their 21 home games to-date in 2019/20.
“It would be great to finish the season with a little bit of a positive run of results at the KCOM,” Honeyman said.
“We’ve got two games left there and it would be nice to finish with two wins on the back of what was a huge win against Middlesbrough.
“The fact that it was our first win in a while was well-documented but it was massive for everyone to get the monkey off our backs. The aim now has to be to build on it and make a real effort to improve results on home soil.”
Looking ahead to the test he and his team-mates will face against Gary Rowett’s side later this afternoon, Honeyman continued: “Whenever you play against Millwall, you always know you’re going to be in for a tough game no matter what.
“They’ve got good quality players in their ranks – just like every team in the Championship – so it’s going to be a real test for us.
“They changed their manager earlier in the season and picked up massively under Gary Rowett and are still in with a chance of getting in the play-offs.
“We’ve just got to make sure we’re ready for the test that faces us today. We have to have confidence and believe that we can get the three points that we want and need.”
