Hull City Announce New Partnership With East Riding College

06 November 2019
Hull City are delighted to welcome East Riding College as the Club’s new Approved Apprenticeship Provider and back-of-shorts sponsor.

The college’s branding will appear on the back of the Tigers’ playing shorts for the remainder of the 2019/20 season, and for the whole of the 2020/21 campaign, while the partnership will also offer unique and exciting opportunities for the college’s students.

Based in Beverley, and with sites also located in Hull and Bridlington, East Riding College provides further education for those aged 16 and above, offering full-time, part-time and online studies for a range of courses including apprenticeships and higher education.

East Riding College continues to be a leader in the economic success and social development of the region, working in partnership to provide access to the highest quality education and skills training to meet the needs of individuals, employers and the communities it serves, and Hull City’s Commercial Sales Manager, Paul Fielder, is delighted to welcome them on board.

“We’re thrilled to welcome East Riding College as an official partner of Hull City. This will be a true partnership that will see numerous chances for students to be involved with the football club, whilst also offering a range of training opportunities for our staff.

“The college is very much a progressive organisation and we are really looking forward to working with Mike and his team over the next two years.”

Mike Welsh, Principal and Chief Executive of East Riding College, added: “We’re delighted to be able to work with Hull City Football Club as their Approved Apprenticeship Provider. The partnership solidifies our relationship with the Club and affords unique and exclusive opportunities for our students.

“As the biggest football club in our region, performing at the highest levels, our association with the Club not only benefits our students but also helps Hull City to develop their workforce through apprenticeships and professional programmes.”

The college’s logo will appear on the team’s playing shorts for the first time at this Saturday’s home game against West Bromwich Albion.
