The 31-year-old, who can play on the left or the right side, has joined until the end of the season to further strengthen Head Coach Nigel Adkins’ attacking ranks.
Pugh has been a fine servant to Bournemouth since joining the south coast club from Hereford United in 2010 and has made more than 300 appearances for the Cherries, the most recent being a goal-scoring one in an FA Cup clash with Brighton earlier this month.
He was a key figure in Bournemouth’s rise to the Premier League and, up until this season, had been a regular for Eddie Howe’s men in the top flight.
Speaking after joining the Tigers, Pugh said: “I’m ecstatic about the new challenge ahead. I’ve met the gaffer and the rest of the squad and the team unity is something that shone through straight away.
“The team has been on a great run recently and it is a team that fights for each other all the way. I’m really looking forward to being a part of that.”
Pugh has been allocated squad number eight.
