Hull City Teams Up With Feel Good Community Project Beats Bus To Bring Positive Hip-Hop Fun To Match Days

04 October 2018
From the Preston North End match, Hull City will be bringing a fresh community integrated approach to its match day experience. The first instalment sees Beats Bus, a community driven project committed to contributing to positive change for the next generation, descending on The Tigers crib to bring feel good vibes to match days.

A team of award winning hip-hop and graffiti artists from Hull will be bringing Hip-Hop Karaoke, turntablists, freestyle footballers, and graffiti artists to the KCOM Stadium.

Beats Bus offers the opportunity for Hull’s youth to learn about the history of music and to develop their interest in it as an expressive and fun way to pass the weekends and holidays.

The project aims to reach out to Hull’s most vulnerable with a desire to help build their confidence in a fun relatable way and will encourage City’s young to speak out about their hopes, their aspirations and to see the opportunities they have for the future.

Vicky Beercock, Head of Marketing and Communications, Hull City: “The Beats Bus project is an incredibly important and original initiative in the Hull area offering a fresh and authentic approach to engaging with Hull’s youth. At Hull City we want community to be at the heart of everything we do and together with projects like this we hope to create inclusive and accessible activities for supporters. We’re really thrilled to be partnering with Beats Bus on match days to raise awareness for this brilliant approach to getting kids inspired, please pop down a bit earlier and check it out at our Preston North End match.”

Stephen Arnott, Managing Director, Beats Bus: “We are very proud to be working with Hull City, our hip-hop and confidence building workshops have been a great success with young people and we think combining them with freestyle football will make a great fun family day for all involved. We are very proud of our city of Hull and we are very excited to bring you live performances, workshops and our famous hip-hop karaoke please come down early and join in the fun!”
