Hull City vs Birmingham City: Team News

01 March 2019
Kevin Stewart is likely to come back into contention when Hull City host Birmingham City at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.

Stewart has missed the last couple of games with a back injury but could come into Head Coach Nigel Adkins’ thoughts for the weekend.

“Kevin trained with the main group on Thursday, so if he doesn’t have a reaction he comes into contention for the squad at the weekend,” said Adkins.

“He was in really good form and he’s done really, really well. As long as he comes through Friday it’s going to be great to have him back available for selection again.”

The Tigers have no fresh injury concerns following the midweek victory over Millwall, but are set to continue to be without Fraizer Campbell (hamstring), Stephen Kingsley (hip) and Daniel Batty (back), as well as longer-term absentees Angus MacDonald and James Weir.

Birmingham City, who are currently three points ahead of Adkins’ men in the Championship table, will be without defender Marc Roberts and midfielder Charlie Lakin.
