Campbell hasn’t been involved since the Boxing Day win at Preston North End after picking up a hamstring problem but trained on Thursday, leaving Adkins with a decision to make.
“Fraizer’s trained on Thursday so we’ll sit down with the medical team,” said Adkins.
“He’s been out with a soft tissue injury and it is still early days, so we have to weigh-up the risk value attached to including him on Saturday but he has trained well and that’s a positive. We’ll see how he reacts, but of course the sooner we can get him back involved the better because he’s had a really good season so far.”
Adkins has no fresh injury worries in his squad as the Tigers go looking for a sixth league win in a row but remains without Jackson Irvine (international duty) as well as James Weir and Angus MacDonald.
Wednesday will be without striker Fernando Forestieri and midfielder Josh Onomah, although influential playmaker Barry Bannan looks set to be available having been a doubt earlier in the week. Sam Hutchinson is being assessed and is a doubt with a groin injury.
