Scotland international Stephen Kingsley began his career in his homeland with Falkirk, making his debut at the age of 16 in a 2-1 win over Partick Thistle in April 2011.

He quickly established himself as a first-team regular for The Bairns and went to make over 100 appearances for the Scottish outfit in all competitions.

His 100th appearance for the club came in a 5-0 victory over Cowdenbeath in April 2014, with the 2013/14 campaign providing an impressive one for the full-back as he was selected in the SPFL Championship Team of the Year.

On the back of that season, his form on the pitch secured a move to Swansea City, with the then 20-year-old penning a three-year deal with the Welsh side.

He furthered his footballing education with loan spells at Yeovil Town and Crewe Alexandra in 2014/15 and 2015/16 respectively, making 12 appearances for each club, before returning to the Swans in December 2015.

Kingsley made his Swansea debut the following month, coming off the bench in an FA Cup third-round tie at Oxford United. And his Premier League debut was one to remember as he started in the Swans’ 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates in March 2016.

He featured in further victories over Aston Villa and West Ham along with the final-day draw with Manchester City, before making his international debut when coming off the bench in an international friendly against France.

His impressive progress rewarded with a new four-year deal the Liberty Stadium in July 2016, where he made a further 15 appearances in 2016/17 as he continued to establish himself in the Premier League.

On top of his one senior international appearance for Scotland, Kingsley has also represented his country at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 levels.
