09 February 2019
Jackson Irvine has called on Hull City to produce their best as they look to claim another important three points away ay Derby County this afternoon.

Nigel Adkins’ side travel to Pride Park knowing a win could move them to within a point of the seventh-placed Rams in the Sky Bet Championship table and, although expecting a tough examination against Frank Lampard’s side, the Australian international midfielder insists the Tigers’ are fully prepared for the challenge that awaits them.

“We’ve put ourselves in a fantastic position with 16 games to go and we’ve just got to take it game-by-game now,” he said.

“We just have to keep performing to our maximum levels. We’re working incredibly hard and we’ve got another huge game today away at Derby County.

“It’s always a tough place to go because they’re a very good side, as they’ve proven on numerous occasions this season.

“We know we’re going to have to go there and put in a very good performance if we want to come away with a positive result.

“Hopefully we’ll have one or two back from injury to bolster our ranks, whilst we’ve also got guys like ‘Pughy’ and Liam Ridgewell chomping at the bit to get into the side now as well.

“We’ve had a good week of training and everyone is ready and raring to go. We’ve got to try and keep the momentum going by producing another performance worthy of picking up the three points.”
