Kane Eyeing Positive Home Debut

11 January 2020
Herbie Kane is targeting a winning start to life at the KCOM Stadium as he looks to make his home debut in this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Fulham.

The on-loan Liverpool youngster helped the Tigers to a 3-2 win at Rotherham United in the Emirates FA Cup on what his first taste of action in black and amber last weekend, and is hoping to play his part in securing another positive result for the team when Grant McCann’s side host the Cottagers in HU3.

“We’re doing well at the moment,” he said. “The team has been in good form in what is a tight and competitive league.

“A couple or three wins can move you up three or four places in the table. We’ve just to try and keep the momentum going. If we can do that, who knows what we can achieve.

“But, we’ll just take to each game as it comes – starting with Fulham today – and try to get the win to maintain our positive run of results.

“It was nice to make my debut last weekend and the next target is to now get my first taste of action at the KCOM Stadium against Fulham today.

“Hopefully we can produce a positive performance and claim all three points because I love winning.

“Nothing beats that feeling of walking off the pitch having won the game and that will be our only target this afternoon.”
