Run by Main Club Sponsor SportPesa, and also supported by their other partner clubs Everton and Southampton, the Kits For Africa campaign forms part of SportPesa’s global mission to develop grassroots football within the African continent and aims to collect as many items of football kit and equipment to be sent to less privileged teams in Africa.
Last season’s donations, some of which were handed out by Head Coach Nigel Adkins and his players during the Club’s trip to Kenya in May, are now being put to good use with hundreds of keen footballers benefitting from your generosity.
Initially launched as Kits for Kenya before expanding to cover the whole continent, the campaign is now into its third year and Hull City fans are once again invited to donate any unwanted football kit and equipment (shirts, shorts, socks, boots etc) so that it can be put to good use by those playing the beautiful game in less privileged areas.
This year’s campaign runs from Saturday 15th December until Saturday 12th January, with drop off points located in Tiger Leisure stores at the KCOM Stadium and Prospect Shopping Centre. We’re also grateful to Club Partners University of Hull and Hull College for providing further deposit points on their campuses.
As part of the campaign the Tigers will be wearing special Kits For Africa branded shirts for the televised home game against Swansea City later this month, but as always it’s the donations from you that really make Kits For Africa a success and your donations over the festive period will be gratefully received.
