Lichaj To Return At Millwall

28 August 2019
Head Coach Grant McCann has said that club captain Eric Lichaj will be available for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship trip to Millwall.

Lichaj has missed the last three games after pulling up with a hamstring problem in the draw at Brentford earlier this month, but is set to return against the Lions at the weekend.

Checks will be made on Daniel Batty after he limped out of Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup tie at Preston, while left backs Stephen Kingsley and Brandon Fleming should overcome illness in time to travel to The Den.

“We took Brandon off on Tuesday night because he wasn’t feeling too good,” said McCann.

“We’ve had Stephen Kingsley with a bit of an illness last week, too, so we’ve given him a bit of a breather and we’ve got Callum Elder who is injured, so left back has been a bit of a problem area. Stephen will be back for the weekend and I’m sure Brandon will be okay in a couple of days.

“We’re not sure on Dan at the moment. I think it was his ankle so we’ll speak with the medical staff on that one.

“Eric will be fit for the weekend.”
