MacDonald Ruled Out Until March

08 November 2018
Hull City Head Coach Nigel Adkins has revealed that defender Angus MacDonald will be out of action for the next four months.

Further investigation into an initial calf problem has revealed a case of deep vein thrombosis, with the centre back now on medication until March.

Speaking further about MacDonald, Adkins said: “We’d highlighted that Angus had an issue with a tight calf and that he’d been with the medical team for further investigation, which has found DVT.

“He’s on medication for that now and, effectively, he’ll be on that medication until March so we’ll review things then.

“All being well, that medication will settle things down but effectively he’s ruled out until March.

“It’s a tough one for Angus and for everybody. We’ve got a very good medical team here and there has been a lot of investigation into this because we want the right course of treatment for him.”
