Josh Emmanuel admits that Hull City must be better following a 2-0 defeat at home to Portsmouth on Saturday night.
The defender was left frustrated by the result, but insists that the team and supporters must stay positive despite recent results.
“We just need to be better,” said Emmanuel. “There was nothing in the game really – two set-pieces and they’ve nicked the result.
“It was a stuttering performance both from the team and from myself. We have to move forward from this and stay positive because we know the quality that we have got.”
“All we can do is focus on ourselves and try to improve with each game. We just need to be better because we’re determined to get back to winning ways.
“We understand the concern of the fans but all we can do is stay positive and that’s both the team and the fans. Ultimately, we’re second in the table as it stands and we know we can be the best team in this league. If we can get back to what we were doing well at the start of the season, we can climb again soon. I would just encourage people to have a little patience with us right now because we are working hard to turn results around.”
