Matt Ingram says he and his Hull City teammates are determined to respond to Saturday’s defeat when they face Blackpool this evening.
The Tigers’ goalkeeper has enjoyed a positive first half of the season between the sticks, and wants to bounce back from a disappointing defeat last time out with a positive result at Bloomfield Road.
“We’ve had reality checks previously like Fleetwood and Peterborough and we’ve reacted to those,” said Ingram. “So we need to make sure we react tonight against Blackpool and get a result.
“Barring the goal Shrewsbury didn’t have too many chances. A couple of deflections and a free kick that was fairly comfortable for me. We didn’t trouble them too much, either, so there’s things to work on at both ends of the field.
“I think I’ve been fairly steady. I’m pleased with what I’ve been doing and I’m pleased with the defence that I’ve had in front of me. I’ve mentioned it before, but the lads in front of me are doing really well and limiting the amount of shots that are coming my way. It would be nice to get back on the clean sheet trail again because we’ve conceded in a few of our recent games, so as a group we need to address that.”
