Hull City goalkeeper Matt Ingram has stressed the importance of Hull City focusing on their own game in today’s clash against Burton Albion.
The 27 year-old goes into today’s game with eight clean sheets in all competitions, and has urged the Tigers to keep their standards high as they look to respond to their last league defeat against Swindon Town a fortnight ago.
“I think in general we’ve started the season fairly well,” said Ingram. “There’s a few things we need to iron out which we have addressed, and hopefully going forward we’ll be better. We just need to keep being consistent.
“It’s important that we get back on track today. None of the lads here are panicking and we know within ourselves that we can bounce back, we’ve just got to put in a good performance, take our chances and defend well. Hopefully that will put us on the right end of a result.
“It’ll be a tough test today against Burton. Obviously they’re not on a great run of form but they’ll be fighting, so we’ve got to be ready and we’ve got to concentrate on our game and not get drawn into theirs. If we execute everything we do right, then we should be on the winning side.
“We just focus on ourselves and concentrate on what we do in training and then go out there on a Saturday and produce it on the pitch.”
