Grant McCann has confirmed that young winger Keane Lewis-Potter will be in the match day squad for the Tigers’ Emirates FA Cup round two clash against Stevenage.
The forward, who has scored six goals so far this season, has been building his fitness back up after a period of self-isolation and is now ready to play a part in Grant McCann’s side once again.
Elsewhere, Greg Docherty and Reece Burke will miss this Sunday’s trip to the Lamex Stadium.
Docherty has recovered from injury but will not be risked, whilst Reece Burke will undergo a minor operation to repair a broken nose sustained in the Burton Albion clash. The duo are set to be available for Wednesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Doncaster Rovers.
McCann has also confirmed that he will make changes for the Emirates FA Cup fixture this weekend.
The Tigers’ Head Coach says he wants to rest some players ahead of a busy Christmas schedule, while giving opportunities to those waiting for an opportunity to play.
Speaking on his team selection ahead of the weekend, McCann said: “We haven’t finalised it just yet but there will be changes to the team.
“I think it’s important with the amount of games we’ve got this coming month that we give people a rest where we can and give others some game time so that they’re sharp for when we need them.
“There will be changes to the team, but as I’ve mentioned before, we’ve got good depth here and players are affecting the game when they come off the bench or when they play in the Papa John’s Trophy.
“They’re all chomping at the bit to play so we’ll be giving them an opportunity.”
