Grant McCann wants to take Hull City all the way to Wembley in the Papa John’s Trophy.
The Tigers face League Two newcomers Harrogate at the EnviroVent Stadium this evening (KO 7pm) in their second Northern Group H match.
Hull City were beaten 2-1 by Leicester U21s in their opening fixture and sit four points behind Simon Weaver’s Town – who top the group – albeit having played a game less.
McCann is keen to progress in the competition and says he will give opportunities to fringe players this evening.
“It’ll be nice to get some of the boys who haven’t had some minutes in and around the team so far game time at Harrogate," said McCann.
“I’ve made it very clear to the players that I want to win these two games coming up, against Harrogate and Grimsby.
“I don’t think there’d be anything better than having a trip to Wembley, but we need to take care of these two games first.”
