Greg Docherty feels he is settling in well in East Yorkshire, but feels he still has more to give to the Club.
The Scottish midfielder has been an ever-present following his move from Rangers ahead of the 2020/21 season, and is happy with the Tigers’ start to the season.
“For us, getting four wins out of five, you’d have absolutely bitten a hand off for it,” he said. “We’re right up there, which is good, but there’s still plenty of room to improve and we’re still working towards that.
“I’m enjoying playing for this team and being part of this Club and I’ve settled in really well. From the moment I came here, I’ve felt welcome and we’ve got a great group of boys here who are all pushing in the right direction which is something you want to jump on and we’re all there to help each other week in, week out.
“I think the best is still to come from me and I’ll always set myself high standards. We win as a group but I feel as if I’ve still got more to give to this team and I hope to do that as soon as possible.
“We’ll be a big scalp this year and it showed last week that they were right up for it, but that’s a challenge for us to overcome, and Saturday is another challenge we’re relishing.
“We’ve got to start on the front foot and if we do that, we can really push on and even though we’ve won a few games, we know that there’s more to come from us as a team.
“We’re still in a good position and we’ll need to keep winning games to keep on building so we can stay up the right end of the table, as that’s where we want to be."
