Hull City U18 Harry Fisk says he is disappointed the side didn’t perform to the high standards the club target, after a 2-0 away defeat against Birmingham City.
Second-half goals from Birmingham’s Amari Miller and George Hall succumbed the Tigers to defeat at the Trillion Trophy Centre.
"We just didn’t perform,” said Fisk.
“I thought we had a positive week in training and everyone was looking forward to the game after a solid win against Sheffield Wednesday last time out. However, we were dominated all over the park by Birmingham and we lacked that little bit of quality in the final third.
“We knew coming into the game Birmingham were a good team, who like to play good football and we just didn’t match them. Defensively we weren’t good enough and it’s frustrating as we work hard as a team on the training ground to keep clean sheets and we need to have that mentality going into every game.
“We as a whole just wasn’t good enough out there and we have to improve when we face Watford next time out, because they are also a good team.
“It won’t be easy, but we need to go there with that clean sheet mentality and a positive attitude. We have a togetherness and we want to learn and improve as a team and hopefully we can go there and put in a really positive performance and get a good result.”
