Hull City U23 Jordan Hickey says every player in the team had to take account for their 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Despite Josh Hinds netting, goals from Yassine En-Neyah, Ateef Konate and Ethan Dekel-Daks condemned the Tigers to their first defeat of the season in the U23 Professional Development league.
“Everyone has to take account for their own performance,” said Hickey.
“It was very frustrating as I think we started the game way off from our recent performances that we’ve shown in recent weeks.
“I think we have to give Nottingham Forest credit, as they were a good side; they had good movement and overloaded areas at times.
“However, at the same time, I don’t think we gave the best account of ourselves as a team. Obviously, we made a lot of changes in the side, but I think everyone who played today is capable of putting in a good performance.
“It’s a learning curve. We’ll sit down and we’ll look through the game as ‘Daws’ (Andy Dawson) is always getting us to look through them and when key areas are highlighted, there’s no hiding place and it’s a great way for us to learn and we need to put it right in our next performance.”
