Keane Lewis-Potter has highlighted the importance for Hull City to continue their strong defensive record into October, starting with today’s clash with Plymouth.
The Tigers didn’t concede a single League One goal during September, and Lewis-Potter is keen to keep that record intact.
“It’s Plymouth next, but we just need to focus on ourselves,” said the forward. “We go out there hoping to get the three points each week and we just need to keep that confidence building and keep our momentum going.
“We’ve got to be strong defensively. That doesn’t just mean the defenders either, it means the full team. Us forwards need to press from the front and I think getting clean sheets gives everyone a boost.
“There’s seven games coming up in October and I imagine there will need to be a bit of rotation throughout the month. It’s a tough month, but we can’t wait to crack on with it.”
