Hull City’s 100% record in September has led to Grant McCann being nominated for the EFL League One Manager of the Month, while George Honeyman has been nominated for Player of the Month.
The Tigers won all three of their League One matches in September, impressively keeping clean sheets in all three matches whilst scoring five at the other end.
September saw McCann’s side overcome tough matches away at Gillingham and Northampton town, beating Crewe Alexandra in their only home match at the KCOM Stadium.
McCann has been recognised with the award nomination, where he faces competition from Michael Appleton (Lincoln City), Paul Lambert (Ipswich Town), and also Darren Moore (Doncaster Rovers).
Meanwhile, Honeyman’s nomination for Player of the Month comes after his impressive start to the 2020/21 campaign for the Tigers.
The 26-year-old midfielder netted once and provided three further assists in three games - his goal coming in the 2-0 win at Northampton Town.
Like McCann, Honeyman faces tough competition for the award, with Madger Gomes (Doncaster Rovers), Joe Pigott (AFC Wimbledon) and Alex Palmer (Lincoln City) also nominated.
