Grant McCann insists there is more to come from Mallik Wilks following the forward’s electric start to the season.
The 21-year-old has scored in his last three appearances for the Tigers, including the winner in their last league match against Crewe.
The former Doncaster man has netted eight goals in 24 matches for City in total – and McCann believes he will only get better.
“Mallik is showing everything I know he can and there’s a lot more to come from him,” said McCann.
“He’s got power, pace, aggression and loves scoring goals. He’s started the season well – and his Hull City career well, with eight goals already.
“He’s going to get better and better. He’s only 21 years of age – people seem to forget that.
“He’s a real asset for us. Whatever position we play him in, he can cause people problems. He’s always a threat. In any split second, he can run away from you and or get past you with his power.
“There’s more to come from Mallik. He’s a great kid, the boys love him and he’s delivering on the pitch.”
